Bob has over 30 years’ experience in the vocational education and training sector, including both public and private providers. Initially, as TAFE SA Director of Learning Resource, Bob was able to utilise his extensive training and research on the design and development of learning systems and resources and for a time was appointed Director of the then Port Adelaide TAFE College. It was while in this position that Bob was “head hunted” by the SA fishing industry to establish the Australian Fisheries Academy, later re-named the Australian Maritime and Fisheries Academy reflecting the change in its client base.

Over his career, Bob has developed as a politically astute Chief Executive Officer with a passion for the design and development of learning delivery systems that will enable students to gain valuable outcomes and assist them to pursue a career at sea. Bob also enjoys strategic planning, organisational development and managing organisational cultural change.

Bob has a Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma of Teaching, Graduate Diploma in Educational Technology and Diploma of Training and Assessment.
